Swim Lesson Hours: Monday - Saturday, hours vary by day (earliest lessons start at 8am and latest lessons end at 8pm)

Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm & Saturdays, 8am-4pm

About Us

Big Kahuna Swim Academy main focus is water safety and drowning prevention. With drowning being the leading cause of death for kids under the age of 5, we believe that learning the 8 Basic Water Safety Skills is of the utmost importance and is vital to the safety of any child or individual. 

Big Kahuna Swim Academy was founded in 2015 by CEO, Tenaya Goldsmith. Having had a classmate in high school drown because they didn't know how to swim properly, Tenaya jumped at the opportunity to become a swim instructor after graduating high school. Having been in the industry for over 15 years, she has figured out the basic skills needed for a child to be able to save their life in a water emergency without any help from anyone else. 

Big Kahuna Swim Academy is all about mastery of the 8 Basic Water Safety Skills so our students can safely, sustain themselves for long periods of time in the water if needed. We teach for the what ifs in life; because you never know if and when you or your child will be in a water emergency.
